Making with MoMA
Making with MoMA was a kids arts & crafts line for the MoMA Design Store in 2018.
Done in collaboration with Kid Made Modern & Todd Oldham Studio, the logo was made from hand-drawn and hand-crafted marks, recreating the MoMA’s iconic logo with brush strokes, crayon scribbles, and crafted items. The playful letters then turned into a branded pattern which was applied to the packaging and connected the whole product line together.
I additionally created a custom hand-drawn typeface for product titles on packaging and instruction sheets.

Artist Series Smush Crayons
Todd Oldham and Kid Made Modern brought about the famous “Smush Crayon”, a solid multicolored crayon with each color of wax randomly smushed into a mold. As Todd Oldham Studio collaborated with the MoMA for Making with MoMA, we made a small collection of Smush Crayons inspired by artists and specific works in their collection.
I worked on the overall packaging design for these and translating our Making with MoMA branding on to the packaging.

Mix and Match Drawing Book
In addition to designing the Making with MoMA brand, I designed the cover artwork, packaging, and instructions for Making with MoMA’s “Mix and Match” Drawing Book. The drawing book is sliced into three separate drawing sections, inspired by “Exquisite Corpse”, a creative drawing game done by many Surrealist artists in the 1920s.
The drawing book was sold as a kit which also included a marker, a set of gel pens, and an instruction sheet with helpful tips.
